Troy Old Timers' Day begins with breakfast, music, and other activities. It continues with the parade, followed by buffalo burgers, other great food, cold beverages, more music, more games, vintage cars, and the revamped Troy city park playground.

Troy Old Timers' Day Featured Events for 2011

  • PARADE!!! What's a community celebration without a parade? It kicks off downtown at 10:00 am and features a ton of participants. Want to be in the parade? Download the registration form and reserve a spot to strut your stuff.
  • Kids and families will find way too much to do. Take a look at the schedule, and check out all the attractions for kids and grown-ups. The city park playground will be open for business, come out and play!
  • Breakfast in the park. Start off your day as early as 6:00 am. The Troy Lions Club will serve
    all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage! Proceeds support Lions projects.
  • Bring your Wi-Fi computers and smart phones.. Try the free high-speed wireless Internet access downtown using the Troy Lions Club Hot Zone. This public service is sponsored by the Troy Lions Club, Troy Television Cable Inc., and Technology Services LLC.
  • Lunch in the park begins at 11:00 am, featuring legendary Troy Lions Club buffalo burgers and other menu items. Served by (who else) the Troy Lions Club. Proceeds go toward Lions programs.
  • Live music featuring local musicians starts at breakfast, breaks for the parade, and continues through lunch. Quality sound provided by Troy schools' music department. Thanks, Mark!

1:30 pm Volunteer Fire Department Keg War. Which team will be best with the hose as they attempt to move an empty beer keg to victory? Potlatch, Troy, and Deary will square off. A waterlogged version of tug-of-war. Troy Volunteer Fire Department Along Randall Flat Road
7:00 pm Live Band and Youth Dance. Youth in Crisis TBA

Carnival Games. These amitious young women invite you to step right up: throw, toss, and dart your way to a fun time with their carnival style games. A fundraiser for a school trip to Italy; play all day and support their efforts!
